UNIFORM POLICY

Dance is an art form and a basic uniform is required.

tiny tot BALLET

As dressing up is part of the fun of going to ballet, we allow any fairy or ballet costume to be worn with ballet shoes and hair in a bun.

Boppers ballet, jazz & tap

Black leotard and black chiffon skirt with ballet shoes and tights (in winter), black crossover (optional). Black tap shoes.

BALLET 5 YEARS ABOVE

Black leotard and black chiffon skirt with pink ballet shoes and tights (in winter), black crossover (optional).

JAZZ, TAP, HIP HOP & CONTEMPORARY

Black pants or skirt with black leotard, BBDS t-shirts and/or jumpers. Black Jazz shoes or tap shoes (sneakers can be worn for hip hop).

GIRLS - Black leotard, black singlet or crop top. Black bike pants.
BOYS - Black singlet or t-shirt and black bike pants.

BBDS T-SHIRTS AND JACKETS CAN BE PURCHASED AT THE STUDIO.

VIEWING CLASSES

We have a perfect sized studio for our students. However, there is not enough room for parents to watch classes week to week. Aside from the space, it is distracting to your child and other students to have parents in the studio. We do, however, give the opportunity to view your child’s class on the last week of terms 1 and 3 and, of course, at our end-of-year concert. 

Please be assured that we have adequate supervision for your children and have staff on hand to deal with tears or any other issues that may arise.
